Even though Black Friday is an English term, it has become a global shopping event - and the Spanish-speaking world uses the name almost exactly the same way. If you travel to Mexico, Colombia, Chile, or Argentina in November, you won’t see translations like “Viernes Negro.” Instead, stores keep the English name because it’s more recognizable for marketing.

Some countries also have their own local sales events, like El Buen Fin in Mexico, but Black Friday remains widely used and understood thanks to global brands and online shopping.
