The most common way to ask how someone is doing in Spanish is:
¿Cómo estás? – How are you? (informal)
¿Cómo está usted? – How are you? (formal)
¿Qué tal? – What’s up? / How’s it going?
¿Cómo te va? – How’s it going?
¿Cómo andas? – How are you doing? (very casual)
Bien, gracias – Fine, thank you
Más o menos – So-so
Estoy cansado/cansada – I’m tired
Todo bien – All good
Use ¿Cómo está usted? with people you don’t know well, or in professional settings. Use ¿Qué tal? or ¿Cómo estás? with friends and people your age.
Estar – to be (used for feelings and states)
Saludo – greeting
Formal – formal
Informal – informal
Amigo – friend
