Mastering “Haber” in the Present Perfect Tense

If you’ve been learning Spanish, you might have noticed the words "he," "has," "ha," "han," and "hemos" pop up everywhere. They all come from the verb "haber", which is used to form the present perfect tense!

What They Mean

He → I have

Has → You have (informal)

Ha → He/She/You (formal) has

Hemos → We have

Han → They/You all have

He comido pizza hoy. (I have eaten pizza today.)

¿Has visto esa película? (Have you seen that movie?)

Ella ha terminado su tarea. (She has finished her homework.)
