As a native English speaker learning Spanish, I often come across words that are perfectly normal in Spanish but do not have a direct everyday equivalent in English. Época is a good example.

In Spanish, época is commonly used to talk about a period of time, a stage in life, or a historical era. In English, we usually choose a more specific word depending on the context.
